Best Christmas Gift Ever!

The Briggs Family Reveal

We told Brady's family a couple weeks before Christmas that we were having a baby. It was Ann's Birthday and we wanted give her some good news. Lately the Briggs family had been hit with quite a bit of bad news so it seemed right to share our secret with them. We bought a picture frame for Ann and put our ultrasound picture in it and also included a little baby boy outfit. Both Ron and Ann were shocked and excited about the news. Later on that week we had the chance to Skype with some of Brady's siblings to tell them the good news. It was all just so fun to finally tell people! I actually caught Brady being sneaky wrapping the gifts a few days before Ann's birthday. He just couldn't wait anymore so we gave her the gift's that day instead of waiting a few more days for her actual birthday.

I thought that Ron might have figured out something by that time since we are living in the same home. But I guess running off to secret appointments, loosing your cookies in the bathroom and eating hot wings almost every night aren't suspicious activities around the Briggs home. (Hot wings were the only thing that sounded good to me for a good month or so) I do have to mention that Ann had been in Salt Lake for this period of time. So I am sure she would have caught on to it in no time.

The Brown Family Reveal

We spent Christmas in Salt Lake. We arrived on Saturday the 22nd and we decided we were going to tell everyone we were expected on Christmas so yet again Brady and I had a fun time keeping this secret hush hush.

On Christmas Eve we boiled some lobsters Melinda brought home from Maine.

The next morning we all got packed up and made our way to the Cabin to spend Christmas day together.

Melinda brought her PA equipment with her. We had fun looking in ears and listening to heart beats with her stethoscope.

I love our retro aluminum Christmas tree.

The Girls

Hangin' around by the fire.

Time for snow!

Easton loves his uncle Brady. He would just sit back in his chair and strum his little toy guitar while Brady was playing his.

Look what we got for Christmas!

Pajamas!

We opened all of the presents in the evening on Christmas and this was the last gift to open.

We handed each person an envelope with a number inside of it and we told them to figure out the puzzle and they would get the prize (the envelope with the bow on it).

The numbers when put in the right sequence revealed a date. Once everyone figured out it was a date there were some pretty good suspicions that it was a due date but everyone was a little hesitant to say anything since we had been trying for a baby for years.

We handed the envelope with the red bow to my sister Shannon and she started to shake and cry even before she opened it. It was a pretty intense moment waiting for everyone to see what was in the envelope. It was our ultrasound.

Then I had Brady open a gift that had an outfit for our baby in it to show that it was going to be a baby boy. I kept this tidbit of info from my mom. Since she already knew we were pregnant I wanted her to have some surprise.

The next day I wanted to get a few pictures of Brady and I together to document the occasion.
