Our Christmas 2011

December has been a very fun travel month for us. We started out in Paris at the beginning of the month (read about it on my previous post), then we spent a day in Lyon and got to check out the Festival of Lights and to finish things off we spend Christmas in Strasbourg.

This festival of Lights or Fête des Lumières was more artsy than Christmasy and there were thousands of people there. I had never been in such a large crowd before—it was insane! We spent the whole day in Lyon. These are the places we visited.

There were so many beautiful stone walls I wanted to have a photo shoot.

Other things we saw that day...

So many people!

We didn't get any good pictures of the lights during this festival. So you'll just have to imagine greatness.

Brady planking. Oh the things we do for fun these days.

Christmas in Strasbourg

For Christmas we traveled by train to Strasbourg. It's in Northern France right on the border of Germany. We loved wandering the streets and looking at all the things they had in the Christmas markets and antique shops. All the streets are decorated with Christmas charm and there was eye candy wherever we looked. The pictures I took do not do this town justice. I would definitely recommend this town as a place to visit during December.

  1. Strasbourg was in Sherlock Holmes 2. I saw it in the theater and immediately recognized it as where you guys spent Christmas!
